Event Enhancer

Lately, our customers are being a little more creative with their Baseband designs.  And here at Basebands, we don't only allow creativity, we encourage it.  Baseball teams are giving out individual awards, designing Basebands with "Gold Glove," "Long Ball," "MVP All-star," etc.  Others are enhancing birthday parties with the birthday boy / girl's name designed with their favorite team's color and font.

But my favorite to date is Gregapalooza!  This can't miss event got even better when everyone that attended received a Gregapalooza Baseband.  But what make this even more unique is that this marks the first time a  person face was printed on the elastic connection.  Not only will the guests of this awesome event get to spend time with the man of the hour, they get to wear his face printed on their Baseband ever where they go.

Support Breast Cancer Awareness

October has plenty of great sporting events.  And in October, we devoted the whole month to increase Breast Cancer Awareness.  Many, if not all teams, support this cause by wearing pink.  Either with the most common pink ribbon or new uniforms with pink accents.  But Breast Cancer needs funding and people to be aware to protect themselves as well as others.  And here at Basebands, we went to help spread the word.

This month, plenty of organization designed pink Basebands to show they care as well as raise funds for their causes.  One to showcase is the All American Champion Sports, the Super Series.  They designed the pink Basebands with the pink ribbon and "Find A Cure".  They also tied in their organization with "Super Series". MLB Post Season Baseball Bracelets

Custom Baseband Order. It's a HIT

200 custom Basebands made their way to McConnelsville, Ohio.  Check'em out.  

 

These Basebands looked so good that I wanted to show all the details in this week’s break down.  So let's get started.  

First, let’s look at the print they used on the elastic connection.  They went with a pink "Gracie Belle" in Brush Script font.  

For the print, you can choose any image in any color.  Therefore you can use a logo, message, motivational saying, numbers, etc.  Anything your baseball heart desires. 

Second, let’s look at the stitching and leather.  This order had pink and gray stitching with white leather.  At first, I was a little skeptical but it definitely turned out great.  

For stitching and leather, you can choose any color combination.  Choose up to 2 colors for the stitching and any color for the leather.  keep in mind, colored leather requires a minimum of 400 pieces.

Third, the complete package.  Each Baseband comes individually packaged with a reseal-able plastic cover and a 3 x 4 inch CreateAcard.  This way each Baseband is packed up and ready to sell. 

You design the CreateAcard and it's displayed behind the Baseband. 

Fourth, ready for shipment. The order consisted of 100 large and 100 small.  Here's all the larges packed up and ready to go.  

All 200 pieces shipped to Ohio.  This custom order was a HIT!

Stephen Strasburg big issues

Stephen Strasburg’s the man.  His first appearance in the show proved that. But this season, it's all about different numbers, numbers of innings pitched, the numbers he has left, when he's going to be shut down, etc.  At first, I couldn't help but feel tired of listening to this nonsense.  He's doing great, keep him in and let him play, right?  

But so many other factors need to be accounted for.  First, of course, there's the fact that he just came off tommy johns surgery.  He's had a long recovery and it looks like he's stronger than ever.  Then comes this whole 180 innings.  I agree that's A LOT of innings to pitch.  But don't take him out cause he reached a certain amount of innings pitched.  His team has been atop of the leader board and he's had plenty to do with it.  Keep playing him and notice when he’s looking strong or when he’s looking tired.  One main reason pitchers get hurt is because when they're fatigued, they lose their concentration which causes improper form, causing strain on their tendons and muscles and therefore putting a pitcher at risk.  That’s the coaches job to know when he’s done all he can that day.  

But looking deeper, you gotta think contracts, medical advice, and insurance, which all boils down to money.  If they keep him in past 180 innings that would be against medical advice and therefore null any insurance contracts with the team and would jeopardize both the team and Strasburg’s money, if he does get hurt.  But it’s CRUNCH time, Oct is almost here.  You have to keep your best pitcher hot.  If you sit him, he could lose his rhythm and get cold.  Or worse, say you do make it to the playoffs and you expect Strasburg to be this dynamic pitcher he’s been all season, to see him stand atop that mound looking like someone else cause he’s been benched for a good month.  Is it the coaches fault they utilized him too much in the beginning of the season?  Or could he push on? 

All I hope is that Strasburg remains healthy and this new Nationals teams contends for the title.  Get’em Strasburg.  

We Live and Breathe Baseball

Profits using Basebands as a Fundraiser

Basebands is a great Fundraiser.  But you may be asking "How much money can I make using Basebands?"  Well in this blog, I'll break it down exactly how much you'll spend and how much you'll make.  From here, you'll get a ballpark (see what I did there!) figure how much profits Basebands will provide for you.  

A usually Basebands fundraiser is at least 200 Basebands or more.  The cost is upfront and delivery takes anywhere from 5 to 7 business days to 3 to 4 weeks, depending on style and quantity.  Each Baseband cost $2 and your total order has shipping and taxes.  But once you get these authentic baseball bracelet designed by you to represent your team, it’s smooth sailing. 

The profit!

Most teams sell their Basebands for $5 a pieces, making a decent $3 profit per Basebands.  But you set the price.  Use Basebands to compel donations, increase team moral, and generate that much needed extra money for a winning season.  Take a look at this profit layout.

Basebands the Promotional Product

Basebands are a great promotional product for any Professional Baseball Team.  With such a diverse product, there's so many ways to fully take advantage of everything Basebands can offer.  Lets take a look how the Minor League Baseball team, the New Orleans Zephyrs, utilized Basebands.

First, let’s look at how they designed their Baseband.  Their team colors are Silver, Blue and White.  Look how great their Baseband came out.  Blue and Silver Stitching with White Leather.  Zephyrs fans definitely got to represent their team colors with this promo product.

Now the print.  They decided to go with "Band Together" in Blue with the font they picked out, still sticking with the team colors.  But you may be asking yourself "Band Together?" What's that mean?  Well the Zephyrs had a sponsor for this promotion.  Let’s see how they tied them in.

Baseball Promotion with FSU

I'm an FSU alumni and I have the privileged to go to as many FSU sporting events as I can because I still live in Tallahassee.   Football season's right around the corner and you can bet that I wont miss any home games and I'm sure I'll even hit up a couple away games.  Watching collegiate sports is definitely my favorite.  The true passion these kids put out every game makes it all worthwhile.  And the other day I was looking at old pictures and came across a promotion Basebands did with the FSU Baseball team.  And I think it's time to do a little lap around memory lane.

Baseball Promotions - Producing a Return

In today’s day and age, every investment needs a return.  In running a promotion, that’s no different.  There is always an underlining goal for a promotion to produce a return.  Companies pay a lot of money to run a promotion at professional baseball games but for what, to get their logo seen more often?   In some cases yes, but why settle for just that?  Let’s look how to maximize several returns at the same time with using Basebands as a promotion. 

Increase Awareness.  Yes Basebands will get your logo out there, but Basebands does a lot more than that.  Instead of using a product that fans throw on the shelf after they get it (hat, bobble head, mini bat, etc), give fans a product they can wear for a month or more (Basebands have been proven to be worn for a month or longer).  How about fans getting that initial reaction over and over again for a month?  That’s a great reoccurring promotion.
